Ok, I am a veggie gardener. I have no idea about flowers. However, I installed a couple of window boxes on my garage, and unfortunately, they are on the north side. Which means
shade. Such a word does not exist that exerts more fear into a veggie gardener. Now, I know that there are thing out there that grow in the shade. Any one have any suggestions???
impatients do fairly well in shade, also begonias. They just keep blooming, no matter what the sunlight and weather. They do need water though.
ReplyDeleteI would offer to help except for the fact that I can kill flowers in three days flat.....really. lol
ReplyDeleteLots of stuff! I prefer perennials for shade, instead of annuals. Leopard's mane, hostas, bleeding hearts, bishop's weed (can be invasive), heucheras, hellebors, lots to choose from.

ReplyDeleteI love Impatiens in the shade, and they come in such bright, happy colors.
