Tuesday's Harvest

Sorry! Its Tuesday, not Monday! Thanks to Daphne at Daphne's Dandelions for hosting Harvest Monday!

Here is what I got from the community garden today... A big bunch of hot peppers, a really nice sized eggplant, and some yellow mini pear tomatoes. The tomatoes arent, mine, so hale to the gardener who actually got tomatoes this year!

  1. What are you going to do with your hot peppers? I have a BUNCH on my two plants, and have no idea what I'll do with them!

  2. I posted late too - and then I just focused on figs!

I love those tomatoes - so funny looking but yummy.

  3. Do you have a home garden and a community garden, too? Everything looks so colorful and healthy. I hope you enjoy your bounty!

  4. Granny, Our favorite dish of the summer has become sauteed peppers with tomatoes, pasta, and parmesan cheese. Yum Yum! The heat this year has been intense as you know, and so we have gotten so SUPER HOT peppers. I usually end up putting them on Mr Gardeners plate since he likes really really really hot food. Also good stuffed with ground beef or sausage and topped with a quick tomato sauce. My Momma always used to can them as tangy banana peppers, but I unfortunately don't have her recipe :( A hot pepper sort of relish thing might also be tasty

Thyme, Yeah, we are at the community garden this year. I was super stoked about it, as its only down the street, but I haven't gotten very much "community" out of it. We just moved into our house in April, so hopefully next year, the yard will be all prepared and we can have everything at arms length :)
